Song in English
Few months ago, I contacted Corey Tsukino, the person in charge of FIGHTER4LUV, a team dedicated to fandub the episodes of Sailor Moon Sailor Stars. As a huge Sailor Moon fan and eager to get involved in such an amazing fandub project, I offered my services as a vocalist for the songs of the show. Without hesitation, Corey handed me translations for the Sailor Stars theme and the ending theme “Kaze me Sora mo Kitto…”. Well, this morning, the song was released on their facebook page as a teaser for the next episode and was greeted with awesome comments. I was really happy ^^; The song itself was extremely challenging and I worked really hard on the mixing. I will shortly start recording the ending theme, renamed “My best Friend”. ENJOY!
The countdown has started for ANIMUSICA 2.0, my Jpop concert at Ganime. I am now rehearsing every other day to make sure I am 100% ready for the big day! I have been pretty lucky so far not to catch any of the colds or flu going around at this moment (who doesn’t know someone’s who’s sick at the moment or who has lost his or her voice?!) so I cross my finger to remain healthy – and keep an healthy voice – until the convention! If you plan on attending the convention, please RSVP to the Facebook Event!
Animusica 2.0 follows the same pattern as the original Animusica show that was presented at Anime Revolution but with new material and the participation of additional vocalists! The show will also feature a 15 minutes long Sailor Moon tribute medley to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Sailor Moon franchise – and the upcoming 2013 anime! I will be performing my debut single “New Horizons” again, as well as an original song writen by my music partner Philip, and adapted in Japanese by Michael Dapello, the Anime North Idol 2011 winner!
Here’s my tentative schedule of appareances at Ganime:
SATURDAY January 26th
- 2:00pm to 3:00pm ANIMUSICA 2.0 – Main event room
- 3:15pm to 3:45pm Meet & Greet with fans (come say Hi after the show ^_^) – Lobby
SUNDAY January 27th
- 11:00am to 11:45am My Little Pony panel feat. Mark Nguyen as the host and Irulanne as the singer – Papineau Room
- 1:00pm to 2:00pm Gidol 2012 winner’s performance (feat. Irulanne and Clara) – Main event room
- 2:00pm to 4:00pm Gidol 2013 (judging) – Main event room
I hope to see a lot of you there!
Few months ago, I announced that I had been chosen as the vocalist for the theme song of the visual novel game HEILEEN 3.
You can read the post about it HERE.
The game was officially released a few days ago (Heileen.com) and so the song in the demo video posted on Youtube!
Comments and reviews have been very good so far and a lot of people are enjoying the game already
The original song is scheduled to appear on iTunes in January 2013. A French version (writen by Damien Tremollet aka YOTA) will also be recorded early 2013.
New Horizons debuted at Vancouver’s Anime Revolution last August 2012 and will also be performed live at Gatineau’s Ganime in January 2013 !
Few months ago, CHORALE SAILOR PRODUCTION was reborn for the fandub of the battle between Queen Beryl against Princess Serenity. I recorded the song CARRY ON with the karaoke generously provided by friend musician Philip Rivard who had recreated the music especially for my Sailor Moon 20th anniversary panel performance
The fandub is available on youtube, as well as the live performance(s) of the song. You can also download my cover on the DOWNLOAD page of this site ^_^
Few months ago, an audition call was made on the VAA forum in order to find voice actors for the fandub of the Battle scene between Queen Beryl and Princess Serenity – to go along the song CARRY ON, performed during ANIMUSICA at Anime Revolution. You can now watch the full official video if you click on the picture !
The news has been circulating around the internet for quite some time now but I never got around my own website to make the official announcement >_<
“Heileen“, “Heileen 2” and soon to be released “Heileen 3” are visual novel games for PC that were developped by Tycoon Games (Winter Wolves Games). Set during the 17th Century, it’s the story of a young naive English girl who embarks on a ship with friends and family to begin a journey to the “New World”. The ship gets lost at sea and Heileen eventually ends up on a deserted tropical island. In order to survive, she must get along with unusual friends, including a talking cat, and use magic tarot cards. Later on, she begins a new life as a pirate where she’ll find aventure, love and romance – and perhaps her true destiny.
In order to conclude the Heileen story arc, the game developper commissioned a theme song to 2EastMusic‘s music composer Matthew Myers - also known as the mastermind behind the famous LEETSTREETBOYS .
And I was chosen to be the vocalist for the song
I was not really expecting this – being super busy at the time with Anime North Idol and my preparations for Anime Revolution. It was a very nice surprise and a huge confidence booster. Afterall, I had been singing for over a decade but never got to the point where anyone would have considered me for “professional” singing (and it’s not because I haven’t tried before…)
Unlike recording “covers”, working on original material takes time, adjustments – and the client’s approval. But I am happy to report that the song is almost completed as we are now busy tweaking harmonies and such. Matt has been absolutely amazing and working miracles with the song arrangements and mixing, despite my francophone accent
I am also excited to announce that I will perform “NEW HORIZONS” live at ANIMUSICA, my jpop & anime performance at Anime Revolution on August 19th at 2:00pm.
New Horizons and Heileen 3 will eventually be released online and the song, on iTunes – possibly around Christmas 2012. I shall make an update when I’ll have more info.
Meanwhile… I will have another announcement to make soon. Stay Tuned
I have finally completed my cover of SMILE from the My Little Pony : Friendship is Magic TV show.
That you like the show or not doesn’t really matter ! The song is really good and catchy and I think I did a marvelous job with the mixing, the harmonies and the chorus at the end !
The mp3 of the song can be downloaded here !!!
Credits goes to:
