How you got into Sailor Moon / why you love Sailor Moon: I started watching Sailor Moon back in 1998 on YTV like most old generation fans. Quickly enough, I imported bootlegs VHS of the entire Japanese series, CDs of music and songs and so on. I became a Sailor Moon “expert” in no time and I was highly involved in the fandom with a very popular website, fanfic, fanarts, fandubs and lots of exclusive materials. I was totally obsessed with Sailor Moon. I went to Japan in 2001 and 2002 to watch the musicals live (went back in 2012 for the reboot). Sailor Moon happened at a time in my life where I was very lonely, without any real friends (I was moving and changing schools all the time, my love life was not going very well either). I had stopped doing horse back riding too so I didn’t have much to keep my mind busy. Sailor Moon was just this well balanced mix of fun, courage, loneliness, friendship and fighting over evil I needed. I was able to meet with a lot of other Sailor Moon fans (mostly introverts and bullied people like me) and create long-lasting friendship. Without Sailor Moon, I would have probably never started to sing in Japanese or even had an interest in Japan.
Favorite animes and TV shows: Sailor Moon, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, ARROW, My little Pony Friendship us Magic, Jem & The Holograms, GiJoe. I also liked many anime shows through out the years (ex: Mai-Hime, Claymore, Nana, Moribito, Swort Art Online, Romeo x Juliet, AKB0048…) – usually stories with strong lead heroines.
